PSYCHOLOGICAL AND COUNSELLING SERVICES
About the Clinic
The Psychology Clinic provides a service to National Institute of Education trainees, Nanyang Technological University staff and students and to the general public offering affordable psychological services and counselling of a high standard.
The clinic also functions as a unit that trains postgraduate educational psychology and counselling students.
The Psychology Clinic is staffed by trainees enrolled in the Master of Arts (Applied Psychology) postgraduate programme at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University.
Qualified staff (psychologists) supervise the work of the trainees in the Clinic.
A medical referral is not required.

Fees
Fees (per session) for attending the Clinic are:
Free for NIE/NTU students
$15 for the unemployed
$30 for employed persons, NIE/NTU staff
Sessions usually last about 50 minutes. The number of sessions required will vary according to the circumstances. Psychological reports are available, if required, at extra cost.
Clinic Services
The Psychology Clinic provides psychological and counselling services, educational assessments and therapeutic services for children, adults and families.
Individual services are provided in areas such as:
- educational and learning difficulties
- relationship difficulties and family problems
- anxiety and adjustment
- depression
- fears, phobias and panic
- life changes
- sexual difficulties
- eating problems
- pain
- trauma and psychological injury
- stress, grief and guilt
- children's behaviour and management problems
- sleep difficulties
- vocational assessment
- personality assessment
Group counselling and crisis intervention services will also be available.

The Psychology Clinic operates on an appointment basis (9.00 am – 9.00 pm).
