A unique summer programme for primary, secondary, and tertiary teachers, curriculum developers, staff-development specialists, school and college administrators.

Featuring some of the most knowledgeable leaders in the field of teaching thinking from the United States and Great Britain :

•Bena Kallick •Donald Treffinger • Alec Fisher

and other experienced faculty both from the United States and from Singapore.

 

All workshops but one (CTE5) are organised on a half-day basis, either in the morning or in the afternoon (4 sessions per week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). The series of practitioners conferences on Wednesday is free to participants registered for the week. There is also a special one-day training seminar for those involved in staff development. Topics include :

• lesson design • leadership seminar

• instructional strategies • teaching critical thinking in science

• classroom assessment techniques • problem-based learning

• thinking and the emotions • critical thinking dispositions

• developing school-wide programmes • teaching for creativity

COURSE COSTS

The cost per week for each one-week course that is offered in either the morning or afternoon is S$400. The cost per week for full-day courses is S$775 (CTE5 only), and for the Saturday Seminar (CTE6) is S$210. This includes photocopied materials. Books used in courses cost extra.

An early registration discount is available to those who register prior to April 15th. The discounted price for each morning/afternoon course is S$360, the full-day course is S$720, and the Saturday Seminar is S$195.

Enrolment in each course is limited and courses may be cancelled if enrolment is not adequate.
